Garment Story

I created this gown for women who want a close, sculpted fit through the upper body without having the entire dress cling to the hips and legs. The high neckline keeps the front feeling clean and refined, while the sleeveless cut gives the shoulders an open, elongated frame.

The shaped bodice follows the waist and uses curved side cutouts to create definition without adding bulky seams or heavy structure. The low waist placement lengthens the torso before releasing into a softly gathered skirt, which allows the fabric to fall freely over the lower body and move comfortably as you walk.

I wanted this version of VALERIE to feel confident from every angle while still being easy to wear for a long occasion. The contrast between the fitted bodice and fluid skirt gives you a balanced silhouette, with definition through the waist and graceful movement below.
